Whitworth Women's Choir to Perform Spring Concert April 30

The Whitworth Women's Choir will perform a spring concert on Sunday, April 30, at 7 p.m., at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, located at 428 W. 19th Ave. Admission is free. For more information, please call (509) 777-3280.

The choir will perform diverse works including Mass #6, by György Orbán; selections from Liebeslieder Waltzes, by Johannes Brahms; I Thank You God, by Gwyneth Walker; My Shepherd Will Supply My Need, by Mack Wilberg; and Zion's Walls, by Aaron Copland. The Whitworth Women's Choir has sung annually at St. Augustine's for the past five years as part of the church's concert series.

Concert accompanists are Carol Miyamoto and Whitworth student Mary Trotter. The performance will also feature guest instrumentalists Dan Carlson, Whitworth faculty members Ben Brody and Jennifer Scriggins, Whitworth alumnus Bryan Swenland, and students Keith Petersen, Jessica Loncosty, Mickey Hansen and Chris Brown.

Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private, liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The college enrolls 2,400 students in more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs.
