Whitworth Great Decisions Series to Feature March 15 Lecture, "The New, Modern Iran"
A San Francisco-based management and human-relations consultant will present the third lecture of the 50th annual Great Decisions Lecture Series at Whitworth College. The series features speakers who focus on current political, cultural and economic subjects of interest to the international community. The public is invited to attend the lectures free of charge.
Shahrzad Saderi, a native of Iran, will present "The New, Modern Iran" on Thursday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Weyerhaeuser Hall's Robinson Teaching Theatre at Whitworth. For more information, please call (509) 777-3270.
A native of Iran, Shahrzad Saderi works with Saderi & Associates, a firm that provides communication training, facilitates strategic planning, and assists governments and businesses to develop effective working relationships between staff and management. Saderi travels frequently to the Middle East and has worked with Iranian companies such as Statoil Iran, Pars Online, Damavand mineral water, and Saziba Atrineh.
In addition to the March 15 lecture, Great Decisions lectures will take place on Thursday March 22 and May 3. The lectures will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be held in Weyerhaeuser Hall's Robinson Teaching Theatre at Whitworth. Great Decisions 2007 is co-sponsored by the Whitworth Political Science Department and the School of Global Commerce & Management.
Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private, liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The college, which has an enrollment of 2,500 students, offers 53 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
