A reception for the artists, their families and the Spokane community will be held Tuesday, April 17, from 6-6:30 p.m. in the Hixson Union Building Multipurpose Room at Whitworth.

The reception will be followed by the gallery opening from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The gallery will also be open Wednesday, April 18, from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-8 p.m.; and Thursday, April 19, and Friday April 20, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-6 p.m. Admission is free. As part of their coursework, students in the Evening Teacher Certification program's elementary art methods class will critique the works produced and exhibited by approximately 65 Stevens Elementary School students in grades 4-6 to produce the exhibit. Stevens' principal, Michael Crabtree, and its art instructor, Anne Handler, were instrumental in the collaboration. A piece of art produced by Handler will be included in the exhibit.
