"Broadway Unbound" May 9 to Showcase Whitworth Students' Theatre, Dance Talents

Whitworth theatre and dance students will present "Broadway Unbound," an end-of-year showcase featuring performances students developed in the classroom, on Friday, May 9, at 7 p.m. in Cowles Auditorium at Whitworth University. Admission is $1. For more information, please call (509) 777-3707.

"Broadway Unbound" will feature the work of acting and choreography students, dancers in the ModHop and Jazz II classes, and scenes from an original script created by students in the Community Arts in Practice class who worked with Spokane's Center for Justice to investigate issues of alleged police misconduct. 

Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The university, which has an enrollment of 2,600 students, offers 53 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
