Travel Tips

Airport: Spokane International Airport is a 25-minute drive from campus. Car rentals, taxis and bus service are available from the airport. Airlines currently serving Spokane include Alaska, Delta, ExpressJet, Frontier, Horizon, Northwest, Skywest, Southwest, United/United Express, and US Airways. Train: The Amtrak station is located at 221W. First Ave., near downtown Spokane. Call 509.624.5144 for information.

Bus: Greyhound and Trailways bus terminals are located at 221W. First Ave., near downtown Spokane. Call 509.624.5251 for Greyhound and 509.838.5262 for Trailways.

City Bus: Spokane Transit Authority (STA) schedules are available at the information desk in the HUB. This local bus line serves major areas within Spokane County. Several bus stops are located near the campus. Call 509.328.7433 or go online (www.spokanetransit.com) for detailed route and schedule information.

Shuttle Service: Students may take advantage of the Associated Students of Whitworth University (ASWU) shuttle service. The cost is $10 from the airport and from bus or train terminals to campus. Advance reservations are required. Call the ASWU office at 509.777.3276.

Directions to Whitworth: From Interstate 90, take the Division Street off-ramp (exit 281), then follow the Division/Ruby corridor north seven miles to Hawthorne Road (Shell Station on the right, Jack in the Box on the left). Turn left on Hawthorne and drive one-and-one-half blocks to the university entrance.
