Co-authored a chapter with Dennis Sterner, Sharon Mowry, and Linda Buff, "Documenting Positive Impact on Student Learning: A Pre-Service through Professional Continuum," published in Teacher Education Yearbook (2004); appointed to the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education's (NCATE) Board of Examiners; Internal evaluator for a 3-year federal math-science partnership grant with 10 school districts helping teachers incorporate inquiry methods (2004-07).

Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) peer evaluator. AILACTE Western Regional Representative (2003-08).

Member of State Task Force to design pedagogy performance assessment instrument for pre-service teacher candidates; western representative for Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE) Models of Excellence Committee; presentations given at American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) and AILACTE conferences regarding action research in teacher education and pre-service teacher performance assessment.
