Dr. Dumitrescu has 10 years of experience in both the academic and business worlds. Before coming to the United States, she worked for several years providing legal and business consulting for companies in Romania and Greece. During her doctoral studies, she worked as a teaching assistant and an instructor at Arizona State University and served as President of the Arizona Chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association. Dr. Dumitrescu’s research interest is in the area of consumer behavior, with an emphasis on consumer policy and corporate social responsibility as they relate to marketing communications to children. She is also interested in international and cross-cultural marketing in developing countries.
