Published an article, “The Traces of Invention: Phatic Rhetoric in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” in Medieval Rhetoric: A Casebook (2004 Routledge); co-authored an article, “Rethinking Masculinized Tools: Machetes, Women’s Work, and Suburban Yard Maintenance,” in the National Women’s Studies Association Journal (2004, vol. 16.1). Co-author of "Found Guilty: Narrative, Morality, and Self," in Proceedings of the Third International Research Conference convened at the Centre for Advanced Inquiry into the Interactive Arts, University of Wales (2000).

Presentations include: "Magic S[word]s," at the 44th International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, Mich. (2009); "Giving worms: Contemplating the feast of disaster in Soul and Body" at the 43rd International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, Mich. (2008).

Recipient of a 2000 National Endowment for the Humanities Grant to participate in a research seminar, "Constructing Subjects in Anglo-Saxon England"; SGA Honors College Teacher of the Year Award at Florida Atlantic University (2001).
