Named the the Northwest Conference Men's Swim Coach of the Year (2010-11); Northwest Conference Women's Swim Coach of the Year (2007-2008); received the American Swimming Coaches Association Certificate of Excellence (2007, 2006, and 2010); named 2006 NWC Coach of the Year.

Received American Swim Coaches Association Level 5 certification, the highest level awarded by the ASCA for professional development, selected on the basis of education, professional, development, achievement within the industry, and experience. This level of certification is reserved for the top 2-3 percent of swim coaches nationally (2007).

Presented a series of demonstrations and lectures at the University of Puget Sound Swim Camp (2005). Board member and advisor to the Waves Swim Team, a Spokane-based community swim team for athletes ages 5-18 (2004-present). Liaison for the College Swim Coaches Association to the Northwest Conference, of which Whitworth University is a part.

Assistant coach of Indoniesian National Swim Team for 2000 Pong Games; coached Salem International University Men's Swim Team to the 2003 WVIAC Conference Title; coached Salem International University Swim Team to two national championship performances in individual events; recipient of the 2003 Bluegrass Mountain Collegiate Conference & WVIAC Conference Men's Coach of the Year. B.A. in sports medicine, Whitworth College, 1996; M.S. in athletic coaching, West Virginia University, 2002.

Serves as laiason for the College Swim Coaches Association to Northwest Conference College Swim Coaches (2008-present).
