  • Synthesized a novel substrate for N-acetylgalactosamine 4-sulfatase in 9 steps.
  • Developed a neonatal assay for Maroteaux-Lamy Syndrome.
  • Optimized conditions for a multiplex neonatal assay for Pompe, Fabry, and Hurler Syndromes.
  • Collaborated with University of Washington Medicine Pediatrics, Center for Disease Control, and State Newborn Screening Laboratories for Washington and New York.

  • Developed methods for the regioselective functionalization of oxindoles.

Enhanced reactivity of oxindole-derived enol acetates for synthesis of enantioenriched quaternary carbons via chiral nucleophilic catalysis.

of racemic alcohols into two differentially functionalized enantioenriched esters.
