Biography:

Hometown: Georgetown, TX
High School: Homeschool
University: Baylor University

Favorite Quote: “I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my own ship.” – Louisa May Alcott

Favorite Classes at Baylor: Masterworks of Art, The Oxford Christians, Great Texts and Storytelling

Favorite Spokane Activity: Hiking or snowshoeing at Bowl and Pitcher or Dishman Hills, browsing the stacks at Spokane library, or taking way too many yoga classes on the South Hill!

Favorite Spokane Restaurant: Do coffee shops count? Rocket Bakery and Vessel are my go-tos for quality time with a chai and a laptop.

Favorite thing about Whitworth: Every single person I’ve met at Whitworth has been incredibly kind. If you’re looking for a place where you can try new things, ask for help, and receive the support and encouragement you need – Whitworth could be that place for you!

Advice for Whitworth applicants: Look into Whitworth’s study abroad opportunities, even if you’ve never considered this before. Some of my best friends and favorite memories came from two trips abroad during college (to Italy and Scotland). Studying abroad gives you a multitude of opportunities for learning and growth – and isn’t that what college is all about?

Free for all: I’m a classic bookworm whose Halloween costumes are usually obscure characters like Andromache from The Illiad. I can’t cartwheel, but I’m working on my headstand. I dream about writing a really good fantasy novel. I’m a die-hard BBC fan, and I’ll take tea over coffee, any day. Chocolate icing, stargazing, SUPing, and singing harmony all make me really happy.
