Whitworth University Church Relations

Whitworth has maintained a covenant relationship with the Presbyterian Church (USA) for every one of the university's 120-plus years. Today, Whitworth is among a select number of institutions that have been given the denomination's designation of "pervasively Presbyterian," and is one of only six PCUSA-affiliated schools with membership in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. Among Presbyterian CCCU schools, Whitworth is the largest and highest-ranked by U.S. News & World Report and is the only such institution west of the Rocky Mountains.

Affirming and drawing strength from its Presbyterian tradition, Whitworth has prepared generations of graduates who serve the PCUSA and other Christian ministries and who embody the university's founding mission to "honor God, follow Christ and serve humanity."
