Barnhill (Sr., F, Sultan, Wash.) scored his league-leading sixth goal of the season to lift the Pirates (5-0-1 overall, 1-0 NWC) to the conference-opening win over the Wildcats (4-2, 0-1). But Brent Zahn (Jr., MF, Eagle River, Alaska) set up Barnhill for the match winner, with came at 83:18 on the clock. It is Zahn's second assist this season. Brian Sherpe (Fr., GK, Centennial, Colo.) made four saves for the Pirates, including three in the second half that kept the match scoreless, to post his second shutout of the season.
