EUGENE, Ore. - Jeff Kintner improved by over four feet in the shot put today at the University of Oregon Twilight to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships.
Click here for complete results. Kintner finished second at the prestigious meet with a distance of 52'-01". His previous best mark was 48'-0.5", set at the Northwest Conference championship meet. Suzy Viducich finished third in the high jump with a season best mark of 5'-3.75". The Whitworth 4x400 men's relay (Dusty Caseria, Ben Spaun, Emmanuel Bofa and Brandon Howell) crossed the finish line first but was disqualified and missed its chance to post an NCAA Division III qualifying mark. Bofa ran his 800 meter run in 1:53.52, while Howell was timed in 1:53.95. Spaun ran the 110 high hurdles in 15.51. Meanwhile, at the University of Idaho Vandal Jamboree, Cody Stelzer high jumped 6'-8.75" to tie his career best mark. He finished second in the event. Next week Whitworth's Kristen Dormaier will compete in the heptathlon at the George Fox University Multi-Events Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. She hopes to break 4,000 points and provisionally qualify for the national championships. Viducich will compete in the high jump at the Western Oregon Twilight meet. |
