Click here for official meet website SPOKANE, Wash. - Whitworth University's Track and Field athletes had another opportunity to compete in Spokane today, posting solid efforts at the CC of Spokane Dusty Lane Open. The women were led by Sara Wrightman's win in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 19:13.50. Corey Dugan added a win for the Pirate women in the long jump with a distance of 17'-0.25". Elizabeth Matilla continues her outstanding spring, winning the 400 hurdles (1:05.14) and finishing second in the 100 hurdles (15.58), both season best times. Brandon Howell, competing in his first 800 meter run of the spring, won his race with a time of 1:59.59. Nick Gallagher gave the Bucs a sweep of the 5,000 meter races today by winning the men's event in 15:28.36. Next weekend Whitworth will compete at the Willamette Spring Break Open on Saturday in Salem, Oregon. |
