Whitworth Competes Well at Univ. of Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho - Whitworth University competed in a pair of indoor track and field meets hosted by the University of Idaho last weekend. On Friday three Whitworth athletes participated in the Vandal Indoor Invitational. On Saturday, nearly 30 athletes took part in the McDonalds Open, which was also hosted by the University of Idaho.

On Friday Emmanuel Bofa finished second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.75, while Ben Spaun made the finals of the 60 meter hurdles and posted a PR of 8.41.

Saturday's highlights include Elizabeth Matilla's time of 1:00.82 in the 400 dash and fifth place finish in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.59.

Jeff Kinter finished fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 50'-1.75". He was also seventh in the shot put (47'-3.75".

Whitworth is scheduled to compete again at the University of Washington Open in Seattle on Sunday, Feb. 17.
