Aaahhh...summer. Enjoy Whitworth at its flower-blooming best. Summer 2017 campus visits are offered weekdays, from Monday, May 22, through Friday, Sept. 1. (Whitworth is closed on Memorial Day and Independence Day.)
Your Summer Visit Will Include
Campus Tour: Tours take place weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Your campus tour will be led by a current student and will last about 90 minutes. This is a walking tour, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Admissions Presentation: Presentations take place weekdays at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. An admissions staff member will fill you in on Whitworth's admissions process and scholarship opportunities, and will provide info about the university.
(Optional) One-on-One Meeting with an Admissions Counselor: If you have specific questions about Whitworth's admissions process or about Whitworth in general, you can schedule a one-on-one appointment with an admissions counselor. (Don't worry: this appointment is not an evaluative interview; it's an informal meeting to get the info you need. But sit up straight anyway – it'll make your mother happy.)
- Because classes are not in session and faculty members are on summer break, we are unable to accommodate class visits and professor or coach appointments.
- Parents are welcome to take part in the campus tour, admissions presentation, and one-on-one admissions appointment.
- During the summer, à la carte lunches are available in the Mind & Hearth Coffee House, located in the Hixson Union Building (cash, credit and debit cards are accepted).
- If you're traveling from out of town and plan to spend the night in Spokane, please see our Local Accommodations list for recommended hotels close to campus. Most of the listed hotels offer a reduced rate – just let them know you're visiting Whitworth.
