Information for Students

Whether or not one is called to full-time ministry, the Summer Fellowship Program is the practical application of a Whitworth student's education of mind and heart and is a means to discerning how God is calling one into the world. Paired to an OCE ministry partner site, students, based on interests and/or major, participate in a 10- to 12-week holistic ministry experience, providing avenues for one to explore the ways in which they are called to honor God, follow Christ and serve humanity.

Students will receive the following:

  • $3,000 stipend
  • meaningful fellowship placement, relevant to gifts, interests, passions and major
  • homestay with a faithful family involved in the ministry
  • spring-semester fellowship training and preparation
  • discipleship and mentorship
