Most influential professor and why: Mike Ediger, head of the health science department, opened my eyes to the beautiful and complex world of health science and the intrinsic connection between faith and science. He is dedicated to helping students discover how their gifts meet the world's needs, and he taught me what it means to serve others wholeheartedly.

What Whitworth means to me: It's a place where I am challenged to be a better person, scholar and advocate for justice. I have grown so much in the short time I've been here because of the incredible people and meaningful experiences. Whitworth has allowed me think critically, to explore my faith, and to make amazing friends.

My favorite experience as a Whitworthian (so far): Meeting new people on backpacking and skiing trips through the outdoor rec program.

What I hope to do after I graduate: I hope to join the Peace Corps and/or travel to developing countries providing healthcare to places where it is typically inaccessible.

Why I'm excited to be a part of the Alumni Discovery Project this year: I am excited to hear stories from people who were once in the place where I am now. I look forward to hearing how Whitworth has influenced and shaped their lives of people from various backgrounds.
