Friday, May 19
5 p.m.Whitworth ROTC Commissioning <br /> Whitworth Veterans Memorial <br /> A commissioning ceremony for graduating Whitworth ROTC students.
6 p.m.English Department Senior Reading <br /> Cowles Music Center, Room 101 <br /> The English Department Senior Reading is an opportunity for English students to showcase their best work with friends and family in the audience.
8 p.m.Senior Communion and Commissioning Service <br /> Cowles Auditorium <br /> All seniors, parents and guests invited. This worship service includes faculty and student reflections on shared experiences of Christian faith, as well as the opportunity to pray for the members of the Class of 2017. Communion will be served.
Saturday, May 20
8:30 a.m.Theology Senior Reception <br /> Seeley Mudd Chapel <br /> Reception honoring senior theology majors and their accomplishments. There will be a traditional group photo of grads with our theology faculty, refreshments, and a brief program, plus time for socializing. 
9:30 a.m.English Department Senior Breakfast <br /> HUB MPR <br /> Breakfast for English seniors and their families. Poems read, awards given, tears shed.
9:30 a.m.World Languages and Cultures Senior Breakfast <br /> HUB Crow's Nest <br /> The World Languages & Cultures Department will honor and celebrate their seniors with a breakfast in their honor. Free for graduating seniors. $10 per family member/guest. RSVP by May 5 to Rachelle Hartvigsen at rhartvigsen@whitworth.edu or 509-777-4765.
11 a.m.-noonSenior Art Exhibit Closing Reception <br /> Lied Center for the Visual Arts, Bryan Oliver Gallery <br /> The Whitworth University Art Department and the university's Bryan Oliver Gallery are proud to present the 2017 Senior Exhibition. An eclectic and engaging selection of works from our Art and Graphic Design Majors will be on display.
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.Buffet for undergraduate candidates, families and friends <br /> HUB, Dining Hall <br /> $8.50 per person. Please pay at event.
1 p.m.Senior Athletic Dessert <br /> Whitworth Fieldhouse <br /> A celebration of senior athletes and athletic training students and celebration of their years of service and dedication to Whitworth Athletics.
3 p.m.Senior Commencement Music Recital <br /> Seeley Mudd Chapel <br /> Musical performances by members of the Class of 2017.
8 p.m.Senior Reflections <br /> Cowles Auditorium <br /> Everyone is invited to enjoy a showcase of senior-class talent. Many of the university's awards for outstanding seniors will be presented here, along with the annual senior slide show, a Whitworth tradition. This event is free of charge.
Sunday, May 21
8 a.m.Psychology Senior Breakfast <br /> HUB MPR <br /> A celebration of psychology seniors and their accomplishments and journey at Whitworth University. Students and their family and friends are invited to join with faculty for a catered breakfast and celebratory program.
8:45 a.m.Health Sciences Senior Reception <br /> Seeley Mudd Chapel <br /> Health Sciences reception with a short program with slideshow and recognitions.
10 a.m.Baccalaureate Service <br /> Whitworth Fieldhouse <br /> Baccalaureate service for the graduating class of 2017.
11 a.m.-1 p.m.Brunch for graduates, families and friends <br /> HUB, Dining Hall <br /> $8.50 per person. Please pay at event.
3 p.m.Commencement for Undergraduate Degree Candidates <br /> Spokane Arena, 720 W. Mallon Ave. <br /> Commencement for undergraduate degree candidates. Open seating. There is a fee for parking at the Arena.
