KWRS Webcasting

Long ago, The Powers That Be decided that our webcasting would be streamed as an .asf file, which many audio players can't handle. Therefore, you'll probably have to download one of these players in order to listen to it.
We don't like this any more than you do, but until we come up with a better solution (and we're working on it), this is how it's gonna be. Thanks for your patience!

Windows users:

Windows Media Player

Mac, Linux, etc. users:

VLC Media Player

Getting Started:
  (1) Open VLC Media Player.
  (2) Go to File -> Open Network Stream.
  (3) Click the "Network" tab.
  (4) Select HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS and enter this URL:
      mms://media.whitworth.edu/kwrs/webcast.asf
  (5) Click "OK".

You should now be connected, but it might sound choppy. To fix this, repeat steps 2-5.

You shouldn't have to go through this every time you want to connect to webcasting - if you're using Firefox, you should now be able to click on the link below and VLC will start up on its own. In Safari, you may have to open VLC manually, but it should remember the settings from the first time.
