Home >Whitworth University Archives
The mission of the Whitworth Archives is to actively
collect, process and preserve all records and materials pertaining to
the history of Whitworth University. The archives will also collect and house
materials related to the history of Protestantism in the Pacific Northwest,
in order to support the programs and purposes of the university's Weyerhaeuser
Center for Faith & Learning. As an extension of its mission, the
archives will make its materials available to researchers, and provide
guidance in conducting research.
The Whitworth Archives are located on the main floor
of the Harriet Cheney Cowles Library,
in a climate-controlled area separate from the library's book and periodical
collections. Archival collections are available for use whenever the library's
reference desk is staffed. However, if specific information or resources
are needed, an appointment with the archivist or archival staff should
be scheduled.
