Whitworth University Off-Campus Studies

Knowledge of and experience with a culture other than one's own is a goal for every student at Whitworth. Through its innovative 4-1-4 academic calendar (four-month semesters sandwiched around a one-month January term), the university offers dozens of faculty-led, study abroad programs around the world.

Whitworth's goal is to ensure that all students who wish to do so are able to study abroad or in a different culture in the United States. Opportunities include Jan Term and semester-long programs led by Whitworth faculty or placements through an expanding network of partner universities throughout the world. Cross-cultural experiences in international and domestic locations challenge students' assumptions, value systems and commitments. Participants return better prepared to live and work in today's global, interdependent society.
