Sustainability activities and presentations will take place during Prime Time hours in various residence halls throughout the Fall Sustainability Challenge, Nov. 8-14. Attend these presentations to learn more about living sustainably and to earn points for your group.

Sunday, Nov. 8 – Sustainability Challenge Launch Party
8-11 p.m.
Arend Hall lounge

  • Introduce Sustainability Challenge
  • Watch Annie Leonard’s The Story of Stuff (www.storyofstuff.com/downloads.html)
  • Sustainability Jeopardy – General Sustainability category
    • Winners: $20 in flex
    • All participants: free pizza and pop delivery
  • Watch Leonardo DiCaprio’s 2007 documentary 11th Hour
  • RD/RA-led discussion
  • Take sustainability pledge or ecological footprint quiz
  • Plan/submit entries for poster and YouTube video contests
  • Submit ideas to Sustainability Suggestion Box
    • Prize – Ben and Jerry’s ice cream

Monday, Nov. 9 – Recycling
