Whitworth Institutional Need-Based Aid

Students who believe that they may qualify for need-based aid are welcome to fill out the Whitworth International Financial Aid Application. Ninety-seven percent of Whitworth international students receive aid in the form of academic and talent scholarships, institutional grants, or both.

Please note: Whitworth aid does not cover aid to students that covers the full cost of attendance and we do not guarantee need-based aid to applicants. However, all applications are carefully reviewed based on need and overall academic profile. Need-based aid is given in the form of international grants. Whitworth does not offer loans.

On-campus part-time job opportunities are also available to international students with F-1 and J-1 visas. Washington state has the highest minimum wage rate in the United States. A student working just 10 hours a week, for example, could earn approximately $3,400 in a nine-month academic year.

See Whitworth's non-discrimination policy at the bottom of this page.

International College/University Transfer Students

For transfer students with just one term (or one part of a term) of college work, high school GPA and TOEFL or IELTS are used to determine the award.

For transfer students with two or more terms of college work, the college GPA is used to determine the award.

While transfer scholarships are renewable, the number of academic years for which they are renewable depends on the number of credits transferred in and the individual student's academic program and university requirement.
