Whitworth Digital Commons, the university's institutional repository, hosts the intellectual and creative output of Whitworth University's faculty, students and staff. Also available are digitized primary sources relating to Christian mission history in China as well as selected Whitworth historical documents.
Current Periodicals & New Books
New books and daily and weekly newspapers are available in the quiet study room located on the first floor of the library. Regular newspaper subscriptions include The Financial Times, The Journal of Business, The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The Spokesman-Review, The Wall Street Journal and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Education Curriculum Library
Resources for undergraduate and graduate students in education, including elementary and secondary curriculum, elementary and secondary textbooks, teaching reference materials, juvenile and young adult literature in 20 languages, are available in the Curriculum Library on the first floor of the library. Also available for students to use are a whiteboard, computer, projector and smartboard.
Martin Music Library
Located on the first floor of the library, the Martin Music Library contains an extensive selection of musical scores, CDs, vinyl and hymnals.
Archival records (manuscript materials, photographs, ephemeral publications, etc.) are actively collected in two areas: (1) the history of Whitworth University, and (2) Pacific Northwest Protestant history. More information
In addition to digitized special collections available in Digital Commons, the library hosts various historical manuscript and rare-book collections, including the Pacific Northwest Protestant history, the William C. Fix Mountaineering Collection and the Moldenhauer Archives. More information
