Multicultural Visit Program Tentative Schedule for Parents

Schedule details are subject to change. A final schedule will be provided upon event check-in.

Parents are welcome to attend any of the following events:

Thursday, March 14
9-10 p.m. Early Check-in
10 p.m. Seattle/Tacoma charter bus departs for parents' hotels – departs to Quality Inn Oakwood and La Quinta Inn and Ramada Inn
Friday, March 15
8-8:45 a.m. Breakfast – Parents are welcome to dine in the HUB Dining Hall for $8.50. Please pay at the door; cash or cards accepted. You may also dine off campus if you wish.
Check-in and Registration – HUB Multipurpose Room
8:45-9:15 a.m. MVP Kickoff
9:15-10:20 a.m. Campus Tours
10:25-11:30 a.m. Coffee & Conversation with Whitworth Faculty and Staff
11:30 a.m.-noon Financial Aid Presentation with Director of Admissions Lara Ramsay
Noon-12:45 p.m. Lunch – Complimentary HUB Dining Hall meal pass provided in your folder. You may also dine off campus if you wish.
1-1:45 p.m. Admitted Seniors, "What's Next" Presentation with Assistant Director of Admissions Ayaka Dohi

Junior Parents, Admissions Presentation with Associate Director of Admissions Ruth Schauble
1-4 p.m. Financial Aid 1-on-1 Appointments 

Seniors who requested a meeting at the point of registration are scheduled to meet with a financial aid counselor.
2 p.m. Optional Whitworth shuttle departs for parents' hotels – This is an optional afternoon break. Parents are welcome to stay on campus if they wish. Sign up ahead of time at the MVP Info Table. 
4:30 p.m. Optional Whitworth shuttle departs from parents' hotels to campus – Please meet the shuttle promptly in front of your hotel.
5:15-6 p.m. Student Panel
6 p.m. Whitworth shuttle departs for parents' hotels – Sign up ahead of time at the MVP Info Table. 
6 p.m. Whitworth’s 48th Annual Lu‘au Dinner –  Support Hawaiian Club. $12 dinner and show. You may also dine off campus if you wish.
7 p.m. Whitworth shuttle departs for parents' hotels – Sign up ahead of time at the MVP Info Table. 
7-8:30 p.m. Whitworth’s 48th Annual Lu‘au Entertainment
8:45 p.m. Whitworth shuttle departs for parents' hotels – Sign up ahead of time at the MVP Info Table. 
Saturday, March 16
8 a.m. Seattle/Tacoma charter bus departs from parents' hotels to campus – Please check out of your hotel and bring your luggage with you since the bus will not be returning to the hotel.
8-9 a.m. Optional Breakfast in Dining Hall – Parents are welcome to dine in the HUB Dining Hall for $8.50. Please pay at the door; cash or cards accepted. You may also dine off campus if you wish.
9-10 a.m. Presentation on Whitworth's Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion with David Garcia and Shawn Washington
10-11 a.m. Parent Q&A with Whitworth Staff
11 a.m. Closing Remarks with Whitworth President Beck A. Taylor
11:45 a.m. Charter bus departs for Seattle/Tacoma
4:30 p.m. Tacoma/Seattle charter bus estimated arrival to Southcenter Mall – Drop-off north of Macy's and east of Bahama Breeze.
