Payment Options for Graduate Students 2026-27
Payment of tuition and fees is due two weeks prior to the beginning of each term. If you anticipate that your financial aid is not going to cover your entire balance, you may choose one of the following to cover any remaining balances:
Online Payments: Current domestic and international students can pay for tuition, room and meals, fees, and off-campus trip balances by going to Illumia (formerly Transact) Payment and signing in with their Whitworth credentials. We encourage students to invite their proxies to be authorized payers so they can view balances and make payments or set up payment plans. Please be advised that proxy users will not be able to make a payment or set up payment plans without their student setting them up in Illumia as an authorized payer. They will only be able to view student account information. Authorized payers can access their student's account through this Illumia (formerly Transact) Portal.
Domestic students can make individual payments or set up a four-month payment plan* with credit or debit cards (subject to a 2.85 percent processing fee) or pay directly from their checking or savings account (e-check subject to a $0.45 processing fee).
International students can also make payments and/or set up a four-month payment plan* with an international credit or debit card (subject to a 4.25 percent processing fee) or a U.S. credit or debit card (subject to a 2.85 percent processing fee). Flywire or ACH wire payment options are also available through Illumia (formerly Transact) Payment. International banking fees may also apply by using this payment method.
Whitworth accepts payments from all prepaid tuition plans or 529 plans. Funds are applied directly to the student’s Whitworth account. Following your state’s protocols, simply request the amount you wish to withdraw and have the funds sent directly to Whitworth at the address listed below or on Illumia (formerly Transact) Payment.
*If you select to set up a monthly payment plan, the cost for this service is a nominal $50 per term.
Pay by Check or Debit Card: You may pay your total balance owing via check. Please make it payable to Whitworth and send to: Whitworth University, Attn: Student Financial Services, 300 W. Hawthorne Road, Spokane, WA 99251. You may also pay by check or debit card, in person, at the student financial services window in McEachran Hall.
Former Students or Institutional Loan Borrowers: To make an online payment toward your tuition account or institutional loan balance as a former student, contact our office at 509.777.4495 or email stuaccts@whitworth.edu to request a temporary Illumia (formerly Transact) password. Once you receive your credentials, access the Illumia (formerly Transact) Portal and sign in with your temporary credentials. Once logged in to Illumia, select My Account and select Send a payer invitation to set yourself up as an authorized payer to fully set up your account. Whitworth alumni maintain access to the Whitworth network and can log in to the Illumia Portal without needing to set themselves up as authorized payers. Payments are subject to processing fees.
