Here at Whitworth University, staff and faculty are working hard to ensure your Orientation experience sets you up for success as a Pirate! 

Our goals for New Student Orientation are to: 

• Foster connection to people and purpose by helping students reflect on why they chose Whitworth and how they belong within the community. 
• Support academic and social readiness to equip students for a successful transition into college life. 
• Affirm a sense of belonging and shared values by grounding students in Whitworth’s mission and community expectations. 
• Prepare families for transition by helping them support their student’s growth toward independence while remaining meaningfully engaged.
