Join us for a chance to receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship!

This is an invitation-only event for high-achieving prospective first-year students who have been admitted with honors to Whitworth for fall semester 2027. Incoming first-year students (including Running Start) who are admitted with honors are invited to attend Honors Scholarship Weekend. 

Registration includes meals for students and guests, a sweatshirt, and the Honors Scholarship Weekend program. Parents and guests are encouraged to accompany their student, though we also welcome students traveling solo! There is no cost to participate in Honors Scholarship Weekend. This is not an overnight event, though accommodations and shuttle transportation will be offered to students traveling alone on a space-available basis.

Transfer students do not qualify to attend.

About the Event

From the Honors Scholarship Weekend event, up to nine students will be selected to each receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship, and up to 30 students will receive a semifinalist scholarship.

All students will be evaluated on the following activities. Learn more about preparing for these activities here.

1. Interview with a faculty member
2. Group activity
3. Essay (typed, computers provided)

In addition to participating in the evaluated activities listed above, students and guests will also have the opportunity to experience campus life and learn more about Whitworth. Below are some activities you may participate in while visiting campus:

Parents and guests are encouraged to accompany their student and participate in parent and guest activities including sample classes, a faculty and staff panel and individual financial aid appointments.
