About the Coaches

Whitworth has two Ethics Bowl coaches who blend the disciplines of ethics and rhetoric to lead a strong interdisciplinary team. They work together well to lead the team to success at the state, regional and national bowls.

Mike Ingram

His forensics teams have won the National Christian College Forensics Association tournament and placed in the top three at the International Public Debate Association. Ingram has chaired the communication studies department and has served a seven-year appointment as associate provost for faculty development and scholarship.

Keith Wyma

Professor of Philosophy Keith Wyma earned a Ph.D. in philosophy at Notre Dame University. He founded the Ethics Bowl program at Whitworth in 2002. Wyma has chaired the philosophy department and co-chaired Core 350 in Whitworth’s Worldview Studies program.
