Feb. 10-11, 2024
Feb. 24-25, 2024
Join us for a chance to receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship. Students may only attend one Honors Scholarship Weekend.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires a student to be admitted to Whitworth with honors. Students who have not completed their application will not be able to register for this event.
Event participation is $25 per student. Registration includes dinner, breakfast, an overnight stay in a residence hall and the Honors Scholarship Weekend program. To register and submit the event participation fee, please complete the online registration form. Please note: Students wishing to stay overnight in a residence hall must register at least one week prior to the event. After that date, we are not able to guarantee overnight accommodations on campus.
Who is eligible?
This an invitation-only event for high-achieving prospective first-year students who have been admitted with honors to Whitworth for fall semester 2024. Incoming first-year students who are admitted with honors are invited to attend one of the Honors Scholarship Weekend events. Transfer students do not qualify.
About the Event
Evaluation of participants and final selection of honors scholarship recipients is identical for all events. From each Honors Scholarship Weekend event, three students will be selected to each receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship valued at over $200,000*, and 10 students will receive an additional semifinalist scholarship of $1,000 per year. The event check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and the event will conclude at 2 p.m. on Sunday each weekend.
All students will be evaluated on the following activities. Learn more about preparing for these activities here.
- Discussion with faculty member (prior preparation encouraged)
- Individual interview
- Group activity
*The total value of the full-tuition scholarship assumes modest annual tuition increases over four years.
