Beyond the Classroom
You deserve the best out of your education; that's why Whitworth's MBA program offers several opportunities for you to extend applied learning and practical experiences outside of the classroom, distinguishing you as a leader in any industry.
Take your MBA above and beyond with course excursions, focused areas of study, executive coaching, and several community and alumni connections.
Sun Valley Executive Excursion
Take your MBA on the road with Kevin Parker, owner of Dutch Bros. Coffee, to the beautiful ski village of Sun Valley, Idaho. You'll spend a week exploring topics in leadership with successful entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 leaders. The Sun Valley excursion is offered twice per year (December and January). This destination-classroom experience fulfills the MB-530 Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation course requirement.
The MBA Concentration in Executive Leadership (also offered as a certificate option for graduates or community members) is offered during the summer and designed for students and professionals ready to realize their potential as leaders within their organizations and communities. Using immersive practicums, outdoor excursions, in-class intensive sessions, and online modular content, you'll engage in a multifaceted study of leadership theory and practice, as you develop the skills and principles needed for success in higher levels of business.
Whitworth's nine-month Executive Coaching experience is an exceptional opportunity to further expand your network. Designed to help optimize your professional development and complement the MBA coursework, you can use your executive coaching experience to further differentiate yourself locally and regionally as a graduate of Whitworth's MBA program.
