The Whitworth Difference

Whitworth really cares. I have been touched by the authenticity of students, faculty and staff as they approach higher education. I have never worked at another place like this. I am excited to bring my international experiences, drive and love of Spokane to further Whitworth's MBA program.

On Professional Development

I have been fortunate to work for companies and people who strive to be the best in their fields. I constantly seek to improve processes and experiences through hard work and innovative thinking. Through my work, I hope to advance the importance of graduate management education and to continue building relationships within the Spokane community.

A Little About Me

As a native of Ireland, I have enjoyed travels to more than 35 countries, living and working in six of them, including Asia, Eastern Africa, parts of the U.S. and Europe. I have an affinity for adventures and the unknown in whatever capacity that looks like. My career has spanned many genres, including program management, corporate-event planning, nonprofit management, global-development work and now higher education. I married the love of my life, and we live happily ever after with our two beautiful girls. I feel extremely fortunate to live such a full life.

Career Highlights

Sinéad earned her M.Sc. in development practice from Trinity College Dublin, in Ireland, at the top of her class. Her experience abroad lead her to a term in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, a four-month research trial in Rwanda for her dissertation, and a "long travel east," during which she spanned the Asian continent, beginning in Ireland and making her way to Spokane over a span of six months. She spent four years developing and growing the career and external relations program for Whitworth's School of Business, and she successfully launched the School of Business mentorship program, professional trek excursions to Seattle, degree-specific recruiting initiatives, four industry-specific mock interview events, professional lunch-and-learns, an upper-division career-management and development course, and a comprehensive first-destination survey. Sinead is also the director of the Northwest Entrepreneur Competition, and she serves on the board of the Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship. In 2014, she was recognized as one of the Inland Northwest's top 20 Under 40 rising professionals; she has also been featured in GSI's Startup Spokane People of Entrepreneurship, The Spokane Journal of Business and Trinity College Dublin's Outstanding Alumni Campaign.
