Summer Fellowship Program
Partnering Students with Christian Ministries to Join God's Work in the World
The Summer Fellowship Program connects Whitworth students with churches and ministry organizations for 10–12 weeks of hands-on ministry experience. Students learn alongside experienced ministry leaders, contribute to local communities, and explore how their faith, gifts, and vocation intersect.
More than a summer internship, the fellowship creates a meaningful partnership between students and ministry communities. Students bring energy, creativity, and a willingness to serve, while ministry partners provide mentorship, relationships, and opportunities for meaningful ministry formation.
For churches and ministry organizations, hosting a Summer Fellow is an opportunity to invest in emerging leaders while strengthening their own ministry. Fellows contribute to ministry initiatives, build relationships with congregants and community members, and bring fresh perspectives. Ministry partners also have the opportunity to mentor and encourage students during an important season of vocational and spiritual discernment, helping shape the next generation of church leaders.
Through these partnerships, the Summer Fellowship Program seeks to strengthen churches, equip students for lives of faithful service, and cultivate young leaders for the future of the Church.
