Publications/Scholarships/Awards: Visiting Assistant Professor Jacqueline van Wormer has 12 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including manuscripts in "Criminal Justice and Behavior," "Journal of Juvenile Justice," "The Prison Journal," and the "Journal of Offender Rehabilitation." She has co-authored two book chapters, and has written over 21 research and technical reports pertaining to risk/need tool development, court model fidelity, detention alternatives, effective treatment options for offenders and collaboration among service providers. She has successfully secured and served as the Principal or Co-Principal Investigator on over $7 million in grants and contracts, all focused on criminal justice system improvements. She serves as a technical adviser and provider to the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and is on the Board of Trustees for the National Center for Juvenile Justice. Dr. van Wormer was recently awarded the 2017 WSU Woman of Distinction (aluma category) award, and the 2017 Spokane County Bar Association "Liberty Bell" award for her work in criminal justice reform.
