Military & Veterans
We deeply value the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families. Recognized as a Military Friendly School® with bronze distinction for 2021-22 by Viqtory Media and ranked No. 6 in the West for Veterans by the 2022 U.S. News & World Report, Whitworth University continues to be a strong support for veterans and their dependents.
Military & Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC)
Whitworth is currently in the process of opening a 3,000-square-foot Military & Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC) for use by our military members, veterans and ROTC cadets on campus. When finished, the MAVRC will include its own computer lab, group study/meeting place, community space, kitchen, outdoor serenity garden, and a rest and relaxation space for those who may be struggling with PTSD or TBIs or who just need a quiet place to decompress.
Military and Veterans Benefits
Whitworth is proud to accept and honor all veteran educational benefit programs. You've sacrificed a lot to earn them. We respect that, and that's why we're committed to helping guide you through the process. As a recipient of the Partners for Veteran Supportive Campuses Certificate through the Washington State Department Veterans Affairs, we are dedicated to supporting your success.
We offer our veterans:
- Admissions and financial aid counseling
- One-on-one academic advising
- A military-friendly community
- Peer veteran support
If you are a military-connected student and do not plan on using your benefits, please follow the admissions instructions outlined on the academic program of your interest. If you plan to use VA benefits at Whitworth, check out our VA Student Checklist for a step-by-step guide to getting started.
