Graduate Studies in Business

Dan C. Sanford Scholarship
  • To apply for this $2,000 scholarship, the applicant must be admitted to the Whitworth MBA program with at least one semester completed, have a minimum GPA of 3.25, and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA form. Scholarship applications will be distributed to eligible students in August.

Graduate Studies in Business Academic Scholarship
  • Whitworth Graduate Studies in Business (GSB) sponsors scholarships for students who are admitted to the university with a strong undergraduate record. Students entering with a minimum 3.5 undergraduate GPA and a GMAT score are automatically eligible for up to a 20-percent tuition scholarship. In order to remain eligible for this scholarship, students are expected to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA during their graduate studies. To apply for this scholarship, students should submit a request to the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies in Business.

Whitworth Military Service Scholarship
  • In support of our veterans and their families, Whitworth offers a Military Service Scholarship for veterans and their dependents whose tuition is not fully covered by VA benefits in combination with other Whitworth tuition-driven aid. The amount of this scholarship for graduate students is 5% of tuition, up to $1,500 per academic year. To qualify students must submit proof of military service with honorable discharge (preferably Form DD-214) to the financial aid office. Master in Teaching

Academic Scholarship
  • Students applying to the Master in Teaching program are automatically considered for a tuition scholarship up to $3000.

Diversity Scholarship
  • Students with significant ethnic or cross cultural experience may be eligible for a $3000 tuition-driven grant.

Support Grant
  • Students enrolled in the MIT Program with exceptional financial need as determined by the FAFSA may be eligible for a tuition grant of up to $3,000. Student must be a US citizen.

Whitworth University Graduate Studies in Theology Scholarship
  • Through the support of our generous donors, the Graduate Studies in Theology program is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships each year.  These scholarships are awarded prior to the start of fall term, and typically will cover 25% of tuition each term, limited to three courses/nine credits.  Awards are made, first, on the basis of financial need, second, on the basis of academic progress.

  • Eligibility:

    Must be matriculated within the Graduate Studies in Theology program, at least half-time (3 or more credits) maintain a 3.0 grade point average. If these requirements are not met, funds may be withdrawn.


  • Application:

    To be eligible, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. An application will be provided by the theology department in August.

Community Leadership Scholarship
  • The Graduate Studies in Education (GSE) Community Leadership Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship designed to recognize and reward students who demonstrate innovative and initiative-driven leadership that impacts their communities and enhances their academic experience at Whitworth University. The goal of this scholarship is to promote innovative thinking and commitment to addressing the needs in our communities.

GSE Support Grant
  • The Graduate Studies in Education department may award support grants to eligible students upon application. Support grants are intended for students who demonstrate financial need that is hindering their ability to afford a graduate education.

Master of Science in Athletic Training

Dewaine and Bertha Moore Scholarship
  • This is a donor funded scholarship that can be awarded in addition to other sources of financial aid. Students are eligible to apply after completing their first semester in the MSAT program.

  • Eligibility:

    Must be in good academic standing with the University and MSAT program. Must be enrolled in the MSAT program with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and completed 15+ academic credits. Financial need is not a consideration. Student must display enthusiasm, leadership and dedication to the athletic training program. S/he must have a strong commitment to integrating Christian faith and service into the athletic training profession as shown by extracurricular involvement. Applicant must display excellence in clinical application, as determined by the athletic training faculty and staff. Student must be pursuing a well-rounded education, as shown through activities and other academic interests on campus or in the commuinity.

MSAT Academic Scholarship
  • The MSAT program sponsors scholarships for students who are admitted to the university with a strong undergraduate record. Students will be ranked based on their score on the admissions rubric; an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is required. This award can add onto a tuition grant or diversity scholarship, but not to exceed $2500 per student.

    No separate application, all program applicants automatically considered

  • Amount: $750-1500
  • Renewal: A 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA is required to maintain this award
MSAT Diversity Scholarship
  • The MSAT program sponsors scholarships for students who are admitted to the university and come from an underrepresented racial or ethnic population. This scholarship is awarded to up to 3 students annually who identify themselves as an underrepresented minority in their application materials. Eligible students will be ranked based on their admission rubric schore. This award can add on to an academic scholarship or tuition grant, but not to exceed $2500 per student.

  • The MSAT program sponsors tuition grants for students with exceptional financial need as determined by the FAFSA. This award can add onto an academic or diversity scholarship, but not to exceed $2500 per student.
