A.A.S. Degree Transfer
If you've already earned your associate of applied science degree (A.A.S.) from a regionally accredited Washington state community college, you may transfer into Whitworth's "upside-down" program. Whitworth recognizes your A.A.S. degree as a valuable foundation toward completing your bachelor's degree. Building on the knowledge and skills obtained through your community college degree, Whitworth's evening degree programs will take you to that next level of opportunity, with bachelor's degrees designed to prepare you for career and vocation advancement.
Students transferring to Whitworth via transfer of a select A.A.S. degree will receive junior standing and may transfer into one of the adult degree programs with 60-64 semester credits.
A.A.S. Degree Transfer Eligibility
In order to qualify for the A.A.S. degree transfer option, the select A.A.S. degree must have been obtained within the last 10 years from a community college in Washington or an approved out-of-state community college. If the A.A.S. degree is older than 10 years, the transcript will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis and/or evaluated based on the applicant's current use of the degree in his/her profession.
