How to Apply
Step 1: Create an account and submit your 5-minute application.
If you've done the college thing before, we can get started with unofficial transcripts; just upload them to your application or email them to online@whitworth.edu.
You can check your application status portal at any time to see what items we still need from you and complete your Student Profile.
Need more information before you get started?
Step 2: Submit your transcripts.
You've already taken the first step – now, let's get you ready to start classes. We'll want you to submit a few things as soon as you can to shorten the process, including:
- Official (Unopened) Transcripts
To register you as a student and for you to qualify for financial aid, we require official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have previously attended. Please order your official transcripts and have them sent electronically to Whitworth Online Admissions (online@whitworth.edu) or by mail to:
Whitworth Online
300 W. Hawthorne Road
Spokane, WA 99251
Not sure where your transcripts are hiding? Start here.
- High School Transcripts
High school transcripts will be waived for applicants who have obtained an A.A. or A.A.S. degree or are transferring at least 60 semester credits.
Step 3: Submit your Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)
If you intend to apply for financial aid, complete a FAFSA as soon as possible. Apply online at www.studentaid.gov (Whitworth Title IV Code: 003804).
Relax! We've got you.
Once you've been accepted, our advisors will walk you through the registration process and everything you need to know to be successful.

Admission Requirements
-
You should be a working adult, defined as 23 years or older, with two years of professional work experience. (If you are under the age of 23, see the section below for how to request an exception to this admissions requirement.)
-
Unofficial transcripts are allowed for application submission. To register you as a student and for you to qualify for financial aid, we require official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have previously attended.
Program-Specific Admission Requirements
Before joining a program cohort, students may need to meet additional program-specific admission requirements.
Requesting an Exception to Admissions Criteria
A key part of Whitworth’s online degree programs for working adults is that each student contributes to a collaborative learning environment by sharing knowledge gained through experience. If you are under the age of 23 or are not currently employed, you can still be considered for full admission, with the following supplemental materials:
- Transcripts that demonstrate substantial previous college experience (typically completion of an A.A. or A.A.S. degree, or the accumulation of at least 24 semester credits).
- A résumé that demonstrates two years of employment history.
If you are not able to provide these additional application materials, you may still be considered for provisional admission status. Please contact online@whitworth.edu for assistance.
International Students
Because Whitworth Online programs are offered part-time in the evening, international students are ineligible to apply. Please explore Whitworth's full-time day programs to help meet your academic interests and career goals.
