2026 Whitworth High School Choral Invitational

The Whitworth University Music Department invites local high school choirs to the annual Whitworth University High School Choral Invitational on Friday, March 20, 2026. Visiting choirs will get to experience the beautiful Whitworth campus, work with the music faculty and perform with the Whitworth Choir.

Choral Performance & Clinic

Each choir is given 25 minutes on stage, which includes a performance with an onstage clinic led by one of our choral faculty members. All groups are required to stay in the hall and listen to the performances of their fellow ensembles, providing an attentive and supportive audience. All groups will learn a choral piece together during the festival and be joined by Whitworth Choir for the performance at the end of the festival. Whitworth will provide photocopies of the music. In addition, choirs are encouraged to prepare a selection of two or three pieces in different styles (no more than 10 minutes) to practice with the choral faculty. A room will be provided for warming up before the performance (an accompanist is not provided). Formal concert attire is not required.
