Whitworth University will resume campus operations, including academic instruction, on-campus housing, dining and student services, for Fall Term 2020.

Our community's health and safety are chief among our priorities. We all have a responsibility to protect ourselves and others to limit the spread of COVID-19. As we prepare for in-person classes this fall and closely monitor the state's requirements for safe reopening, please continue to visit this webpage for new procedures and policies.

  • Whitworth outlines plans for Academic Breaks, including Thanksgiving Break, Jan Term and Spring Term.
  • Whitworth will celebrate the Class of 2020 in a combined undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremony on May 23, 2021, at 5 p.m. More information is available at www.whitworth.edu/commencement.
  • A Back to School Guide is available at www.whitworth.edu/backtoschoolguide for students to learn more about Whitworth's plans for the fall. This guide provides an overview of the university's COVID-19 protocols and students' responsibilities in helping to keep the campus community as safe as possible. All students (traditional undergraduate, continuing studies and graduate) are asked to read the Acknowledgment of Student Risk found on Page 4.

  • Feeling Sick? Possible Exposure? Take these Steps

    1. Stay home from work and school. If you are having a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 and go to the nearest hospital.
    2. Call your health care provider, a nurse triage hotline on the back of your health insurance card, or the health center for eligible students.
    3. The health care provider, nurse or health center staff will ask you screening questions to determine best next steps in regards to the following:
      1. If you need to have a medical evaluation
      2. If you need to be tested for COVID-19
      3. If you need to quarantine or isolate for a specific length of time
    4. For notification purposes, if you have been exposed to COVID-19, have COVID-19 symptoms, are undergoing testing for COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, please let the university know by submitting a "Report a COVID Concern" through the LiveSafe app or by sending an email to the COVID Care Team covidcareteam@whitworth.edu.
