Verbrugge Environmental Center

Whitworth University's Verbrugge Environmental Center supports the education of mind and heart by equipping students, scientists, teachers and community members to engage in Christian environmental stewardship through field-based research, education and conservation. The VEC provides a unique local context in which patrons can investigate issues related to resource conservation, human ecology, ethno-botany, and ecosystem restoration and can also engage in basic and applied ecological research. The VEC is above all a place where the Whitworth community lives out its commitment to care responsibly for creation through the conservation, restoration and sustainable management of the land entrusted to it.
