Favorite Quote: “Walk as if your next step would carry you across the threshold of Heaven.” – Jim Elliot

Favorite College Course(s): Core 350 in Hawaii, Interpersonal Communication with Ron Pyle, Consumer Behavior

Favorite Spokane Activity: There’s so much to do in Spokane! I love the easy access to outdoor activities with many lakes and mountains nearby and all of the shopping/restaurants within a short drive too. It also doesn’t hurt that we have several Starbucks near campus and a Panera Bread just opened near campus! ?

Favorite Spokane Restaurant: The new 1898 Public House has amazing appetizers and a gorgeous view of the golf course!

Favorite thing about Whitworth: The study abroad opportunities. Because of Jan term, I was able to participate in three study abroad programs with Whitworth professors (to Australia, China, & Hawaii) and still graduate in four years. Those trips are some of my favorite Whitworth memories!

Advice for Whitworth applicants: VISIT. Every school looks great on paper, online, and in brochures -- people get marketing degrees for that purpose! Apply to all schools that interest you, but once you have narrowed down your options to a few favorites, visit them all. Go on a campus tour, sit in on a class, stay overnight in a residence hall, and eat in the dining hall. Get the inside scoop, and see if you can picture yourself as a student there. Talk to current students, meet professors, and ask a lot of questions. Your college years play a huge role in shaping who you will become as an adult, so make a well-informed choice.

I have two sweet daughters and an awesome husband, who is also a Whitworth grad and diehard Pirate. I dream of winning on "Wheel of Fortune" or the “Price is Right” someday. I am deathly afraid of seaweed. I've been skydiving over the North Shore of Hawaii and snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I love peppermint mochas. I love playing soccer, tennis, and any competitive board game. I definitely have the travel bug and a passion for new adventures. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I've been to five of the seven continents (all but South America and Antarctica, so far). My husband and I plan to visit every MLB stadium by the time we’re 50!
