Nikkita Oliver is an accomplished attorney, artist, and grassroots organizer at the forefront of issues such as economic equality, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights in Seattle and around Washington State. In 2017, she was one of 22 candidates for Mayor of Seattle and the only queer woman of color in the race. She came in third, but created a paradigm shift in the public discourse around the election and the role of our cities. She will be speaking about her experience in social movements and local politics, as well as the role that art and faith in both. She is the headline speaker for Pride Week.
