Bookstore Forum--Students

It is time to consider our bookstore management contract again and we need your help! Best business practices require that although we are pleased with Barnes Noble’s performance as our bookstore manager, we periodically reevaluate our bookstore management contract.

The university will host individual open forums (one for students only and one for faculty and staff) with each of the three potential partners (Barnes and Noble, Sodexo/BAA, and Follett) and collect input from participants that will inform the final selection of the partner that will continue (if B&N is selected) or transition as the new manager as of spring 2020.

There will be three forums on the following dates: Wednesday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the Library Classroom with Follett; Thursday, April 25 at 2 p.m. in the Library Classroom with Sodexo; and Tuesday, April 30 at 3 p.m. in HUB ABC with Barnes and Noble. Please come by to have a cookie and participate in question/answer sessions with potential bookstore manager partners. These open forums are intended to provide information on how these different managers run their business models, as well as provide our community with opportunities to ask questions regarding needs and concerns about how the bookstore works on our campus.
