Whitworth University Nursing

Established in 1968, the baccalaureate nursing degree program (BSN) at Washington State University College of Nursing (CON) prepares students for careers in nursing. Since the program’s inception, a consortium agreement between Whitworth University, Washington State University and Eastern Washington University allows each student to complete her or his undergraduate and nursing prerequisites at consortium institutions and then to go on and complete the BSN degree at WSU College of Nursing. Upon successful completion of the undergraduate program, students are eligible to take the NCLEX exam and become licensed RNs.

Note: Students attending CON apply to and receive financial aid through Washington State University once they have transferred over to WSU. Whitworth academic scholarships do not apply to the CON program. However, scholarships are available through the CON. The Whitworth Financial Aid Office can assist students making the transition from Whitworth's financial aid processes to WSU's.

Upon completion of graduation requirements, CON students receive dual diplomas – one issued by Whitworth and a second from Washington State University.
