This program is designed to prepare students to complete the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam and achieve their goal of becoming certified athletic trainers. For the past 10 years, our graduates have passed their BOC exams on their first attempt over 90 percent of the time, which is consistently higher than the national average.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that "employment of athletic trainers is expected to grow by 19 percent from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations."
For BOC pass rates, graduation and employment rates, visit the CAATE Program Information and Outcomes page. In order to become a certified athletic trainer (ATC), you must pass the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam and maintain state licensure.
