Tuition & Financial Aid

From your inquiry all the way through the application process, Whitworth's knowledgeable financial aid staff is available to assist you. Please call our financial aid office at 509.777.3215.

Many students in Whitworth graduate programs receive some form of financial aid, either from federal loans or through Whitworth's various scholarship and grant opportunities. Many students qualify for financial support from their church, organization or employer. We encourage you to explore these opportunities. Regardless of whether your organization has a formal policy of paying tuition benefits, students have received education benefits by showing supervisors the value their education will bring to their organizations.

Tuition

Anticipated tuition for the Whitworth Graduate Studies in Theology Program is $590 per credit for the 2022-23 school year. A $60 course fee will be applied to help cover the cost of meals throughout the program.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to Whitworth students to support their investment in their graduate education. Students do not have to be in a low-income category to qualify, but they do need to apply to be considered for financial aid. The Whitworth Financial Aid Office (509.777.3215) is eager to assist you in determining the best way to fund your education.

Students applying for financial aid of any kind must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available online at www.studentaid.gov. List Whitworth University on the FAFSA along with Whitworth's Title IV code, which is 003804. Only domestic and permanent residents are eligible for financial aid through the FAFSA.

Scholarships and Grants

There may be scholarship and grant opportunities available to graduate students who qualify; find more information on the Whitworth Financial Aid website.

Assistance for Veterans

The Post-9/11 G.I. Bill, which offers federal benefits, is designed to provide substantial educational benefits to service personnel. It covers a large part of the cost of a Whitworth degree. Visit www.whitworth.edu/veterans to learn more about the veteran-education benefits available to you.

Whitworth's VA certifying official in the registrar's office (509.777.3508), can assist you in determining your eligibility. The Whitworth Financial Aid Office will then work with you to ensure that you receive the proper assistance.

Payment Options

Payment options are available, including monthly payments with a minimal set-up fee. For information, contact the Whitworth Student Financial Services Office at stuaccts@whitworth.edu.
