James King

James King '12 is an audit managing director with Deloitte, currently serving the Pacific Northwest and greater Seattle marketplaces. King graduated from Whitworth University with a double major in accounting and economics and was a four-year member of the Whitworth baseball team, including the 2012 Northwest Conference and NCAA Division III West Region Championship team that qualified for the 2012 Division III College World Series. He was also a co-founder and lead presenter to the Whitworth Board of Trustees for the approval of the Whitworth Student Investment Group (WSIG) in 2012.

He began his career in the Deloitte Seattle office. He then spent two years in the Deloitte Ireland office on a global mobility assignment from 2015-17, before returning back to the Seattle area. He primarily serves clients across the technology and life science industries ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local startups at various stages of maturity, in both assurance and accounting and reporting advisory capacities.

King is currently in the 2023-24 cohort of the Whitworth Institute of Leadership. He lives in Renton, Wash., with his wife, Kara.
